When you get a text on Saturday saying “what are you doing Monday? And do you want to take my senior pictures?”
It was quite a spontaneous shoot really, stopping by the side of the road to catch the golden peak of sunrise, then on to the next destination.
The light that day was absolutely perfect, and getting to watch the world wake up is truly one of my favorite things!
Emme is such a beautiful person inside, and out! Her love for Christ spills out with joy in her beautiful smile!
This is going to pretty much be a ‘hardly any words’ post. Just because I’m at a loss of what to say. These pictures speak for themselves.

Constantly reminded of His goodness to us! Just being out there this morning as the sun slowly melted the frost off these simple blades of grass, that right there was making me want to praise my Redeemer! My heart is full.
Great and mighty is your faithfulness, O God my Father! Great is your faithfulness.

Ever been in a ‘rut’ with photography? It’s NOT fun!! But it is a tad nice cause it forces you to try new things, learn new things etc.
That’s where I’ve been lately, and sometimes I don’t like to go out and shoot. I just don’t feel the creativity right then. But I force myself to!

These next two were pretty awesome to do! I call it turn-around-macro. It’s where you take the lens off, turn it around and take the pic. It’s really tricky, And since the lens ins’t attached, you can pull it away from the camera body just a tad and get some cool sun flare 🙂 (Hence the pink hues)

I’m surprising myself by actually sitting down to write a blog post!!
Recently..and by recently I mean late July, I got my self a birthday present…It’s been one of my favorites ^_^ Yup, my new baby!! It’s a prime lens, meaning it doesn’t zoom.
So maybe your wondering what kind of pictures does this thing take? Here ya go!
I totally love it’s range of focus, how it brings the colors out, and yeah..can I just say I might be in love? ^_^
I have this problem with not being able to set my camera down! lol. So on some mornings when the sunrise is a killer, and I really want to reach for my camera, I remind myself that some moments should just be enjoyed!
That’s what I tried to tell myself this morning, mostly because I didn’t really feel like taking pictures ( I know, lazy!) But I did grab my camera…obviously 😉
I only took two pictures of the actual sunrise, and the rest…well, I’ll let you see for yourself!
